Author. Born March 26, 1909, in Washington, D.C., died 1994 in Dunedin, Florida. A child prodigy, Carr was published in national magazines at the age of 15 and published his first novel, The Rampant Age (1928), at 17. He only authored two more novels, The Bells of Saint Ivan's (1944), and The Room Beyond.
